Southern Photos — Part 1
In an effort to not get burnt out of my training for the Adventure Race World Series, I try to mix a lot of fun into it, such as tagging friends along for a weekend of supposed training
The weekend of November 27, I brought my friends to Malitbog — our hometown in Southern Leyte for my open water swim training and trail riding

Malitbog town was celebrating the return of the Sto Niño the weekend we arrived. The image was stolen from the cathedral years prior. Luckily, and out of goodwill, an antique collector from Manila got hold of the image and returned the statue to the town 3 years ago
Our family (Espina) were hosts to this feast. Locally we call this as the Hermana/Hermano

Being in a packed church feels surreal given the pandemic is still raging around the world
